Cops now confirm 'weed' find, launch probe into cover-up
The police have confirmed the discovery of a marijuana-like substance at Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar's private residence on April 19, 2013.
The Commissioner of Police has ordered an invesitgation into an alleged cover-up of the find.
The release came just after former Minister of National Security Jack Warner released a new audio recording purported to be of an ex-National Security Minister discussing a marijuana find.
Assistant Commisisoner of Police Ainsley Garrick was appointed to lead the probe.
